CONTEST PERIOD
1. Power Of You contest is held by Keurig Canada Inc. on the Internet. It begins on May 1st, 2014 at 0:00 a.m. and ends on May 31, 2014 at 11:59 pm

ELIGIBILITY
2. The contest is open to Canadian residents. Excluded are: employees, agents and representatives of the Contest Organizers, or Van Houtte® Cafés, retailers of Van Houtte® products, companies, corporations, trusts, and other legal entities controlled by or related to the above, their advertising and promotions agencies, suppliers of prizes, material and services related to this contest, as well as their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother), their legal or common-law spouse, as well as any person domiciled with these employees, agents, and representatives.
3. Browser cookies must be enabled to enter the Contest.

4. To enter proceed as follows:
a) Go to vanhoutteequitable.com;
b) Click on “Contest” in order to access the electronic entry form;
c) Complete the Entry Form by entering your first name, last name, email address and postal code;
d) Check the corresponding box at the end of the Entry Form to sign up to the newsletter (not necessary)
e) Finally, check the “I HAVE READ AND ACCEPTED THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS CONTEST” box and click on “VALIDATE” to submit your entry form and complete the submission.

EARNING CHANCES
5. The odds of an Entrant’s entry being selected depend on the number of basic and additional entries registered during the Contest Period.
Each individual entering the Contest (the “Participant”) has the chance to win by completing certain actions during the contest period. Any participant may perform the following actions in the “EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBLE ACTS” section after clicking the “SEE THE DETAILS OF THE CONTEST” button of the Entry Form:
5.1 Like the Van Houtte® Facebook page
5.2 Invite your friends to the Van Houtte® Facebook page
5.3 Share the contest www.vanhouttefairtrade.com on your Facebook and Twitter wall
5.4 Share your pictures of Van Houtte® Fairtrade exprience on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by adding #powerofyou and/or #tonmondetonchoix and identify your friends to encourage them to take action

LIMITS
6. Entrants must comply with the following conditions, otherwise they will be disqualified:
6.1 Limit of one entry per person, per email address and for all the duration of the contest (1 month) : May 2014;
6.2 Use of only one email address when a participant has more than one;
6.3 In the event that a participant submits more than one Entry Form, only the first one is valid
6.4. Limit of one (1) prize per person per residence during the Contest Period.

PRIZES
7. 15 prizes are offered. Each prize consists of one Van Houtte® gift-bag with Fairtrade assortment products. Van Houtte® products flavours and the colour of the cups are at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizers.

DRAW
8. A total of 15 draws will be held to determine fifteen winners of fifteen gift-bags.
On 5 June 2014, at 10 a.m., in Montreal the office of the agency in charge of administering the Contest, 1001 Lenoir, # A-214 Montréal, QC H4C 2Z6, a random draw of fifteen eligible entry will be conducted among all registered entries from May 1st to May 31th inclusively.

AWARDING OF PRIZES
9. To be declared a winner, any selected participant must be:
9.1 Reached by email, at the sole discretion of the Contest Organizers, within ten (10) working days of the draw to inform him about his selection.
9.2 Must reply in accordance with the instructions presented therein if applicable, within ten working days after the reception of the email.
9.3 Upon request, and in a timely manner, provide proof of identity with photograph.
9.4 Within 30 working days, the agency in charge of administering the contest will deliver to the winners their prices by postal mail.
10. Should a selected participant fail to comply with any of the conditions mentioned in these Rules and Regulations or to accept their prize, they will be disqualified. In such an event, the Contest Organizers may, at their sole discretion, either cancel the prize or hold a new draw until a participant is officially declared a winner.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
11. Verification. Entry forms entries are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any entry form found to be, as applies, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, fraudulent, submitted, received or transmitted late, bearing an invalid email address or wrong answer to the mathematical skill-testing question or otherwise non-compliant may be rejected and will not entitle the participant, as applies, to any entry or prize.
12. Disqualification. The Contest Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person or cancel one or more entries of a participant if the latter enters or attempts to enter this contest by means contrary to these contest rules or unfair to other entrants (e.g., submitting entries beyond the authorized limit). Such persons may be reported to the appropriate legal authorities.
13. Operation of the contest. Any attempt aiming to deliberately disrupt the contest website and/or any related site, or to sabotage the legitimate operation of the contest represents a breach of civil and criminal laws. Should such attempts be carried out, the Contest Organizers reserves the right to reject the entries of the participant and to seek remedy as provided by law.
14. Acceptance of prize. Prizes must be accepted as described in these contest rules and may not be, as a whole or in part, transferred to another person, substituted for another prize or exchanged for cash, except as per the provisions of the paragraph below.
15. Substitution of prize. In the event that it would become impossible, difficult and/or more expensive for the Contest Organizers to award the prize as described herein, they reserve the right to award a prize of same nature and equivalent value or, at their sole discretion, the value of the prize stated herein in cash.
16. Limitation of liability: Use of prize. By entering this Contest, all participants selected for the awarding of a prize release the Contest Organizers, Van Houtte, Van Houtte® Cafés, retailers of Van Houtte® products, as well as any company, corporation, trust or other legal entities controlled by or related to the above, their advertising and promotions agencies, employees, agents and representatives (the “Releases”) from any and all liability pertaining to damage that they may incur as a result of the acceptance of their prize.
17. Operation of the website. The Contest Organizers do not guarantee in any way that the Contest website will be accessible or functional without interruption for the contest period, or that it will be free from any errors.
18. Limitation of liability: Operation of the contest. The Releases may not be held liable in any way for any malfunction of any computer component, software or communications line, relative to the loss or absence of network communications or relative to any failed, incomplete, incomprehensible or erased transmissions from any computer or network which could limit or prevent any participant from entering the contest. The Releases may not be held liable either for any damage or loss that could arise, directly or indirectly, in part or as a whole, from the downloading of any web page or software, and by the transmission of any information to enter the contest.
19. Modifications to the contest. Subject to approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec, if required, the Contest Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Contest, as a whole or in part, if any event or human intervention occurs that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the contest as set forth in these rules and regulations.
20. End of contest entry. In the event that the computer system could not record all entries in the Contest for the Contest Period, for any reason whatsoever, or that Contest entry should be terminated in part or as a whole before the contest closing date set forth in these rules, the draw may be held, at the discretion of the Contest Organizers, from among the entries duly registered during the Contest or, as applies, until the date of the event which caused the termination of entry in the Contest.
21. Prize limits. In any given case, the Contest Organizers shall not be required to award more prizes than indicated herein or to award prizes other than in compliance with these contest Rules and Regulations.
22. Limitation of liability: Contest entry. By entering or attempting to enter this Contest, all participants release the Releases from any and all liability for damages they may incur as a result of their participation or attempted participation in the contest.
23. Authorization. By entering this contest, all participants selected for a prize authorize the Contest Organizers and their representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, likeness, voice, place of residence and/or any statement about the prize for advertising purposes, without any form of compensation.
24. Contact with entrants. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with the participants as part of this Contest, except as provided in these Rules and Regulations or at the initiative of the Contest Organizers.
25. Privacy. The personal information gathered about the participants as part of this contest will only be used for contest administration purposes. No communication unrelated to this contest, commercial or otherwise, will be sent to the participants, unless they have otherwise agreed thereto, including by checking the applicable box on the electronic entry.
26. Ownership. Entries are the property of the Contest Organizers and will not under any circumstances be returned to participants.
27. Identification of participant. For the purpose of these Rules and Regulations, the participant is the person whose name appears on the electronic entry form. It is to this person that the prize will be awarded if they are declared a winner.
28. Decisions of the Contest Organizers. All decisions of the Contest Organizers or their representatives pertaining to this Contest are final and binding, subject to any decisions by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec in relation to matters under its jurisdiction.
29. Disputes. For Quebec residents, any litigation with respect to the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation with respect to the awarding of the prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
30. Divisibility of paragraphs. Should a paragraph of these rules be declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable or void by a competent authority, such a paragraph will be considered void, but all other paragraphs untouched will be applied within the extent of the law.
31. Language. In the event of discrepancies between the French and English versions of these rules, the French version will prevail.
